Despite the incredible efforts of Scanner last month, whose generous donations pretty much paid for the server outright, this month is unfortunately starting out with absolutely nothing to spare. Everything you see as an apparent surplus above is the Amazon money Cain should have sent me ages ago, yet even if it arrived today, I still couldn't cash the cheque in time to pay Surpass at the end of November. Basically, if I don't have the funds by the 25th of this month, I'm closing the site for good this time! I will NOT ask Scanner to bail us out again either, so please don't count on him coming to the rescue, especially when so many of you still contribute little or nothing to the upkeep of this place. My apologies to the regulars of course, but if you want someone to blame, send a PM to Cain in the forum, like I've done (-_-)
Important! Would donators please be sure to choose a username/password combination so I can grant you access to the archive, and reply using something other than Hotmail! As I keep telling people, these free accounts automatically block domains they don't approve of, or at best, flag unknown addresses as spam, meaning you should check your settings when using them with hentai sites like mine! I'm still sorting out material for my proposed toon update, so it will be a few more days yet. Heh, yeah, me being me, I totally underestimated the sheer amount of material involved, but rest assured, it will be worth the wait. Oh, and I fixed another bug in the series script, which resulting in the number of artists being counted up incorrectly (^_^;)
There has still been no word from Cain whatsoever this month, meaning I'm now forced to take action as regards the Amazon account again. Pending what another Ultra Contributor has to say, it's looking very likely that it will either have to be replaced (the best option) or closed down completely (a not so good option, especially since a lot of you use or have used it repeatedly in the past). I daresay everyone who has donated using this method is pretty pissed at present, though I have no plans to curb anyone's access because of his repeated apathy. Regardless of that fact, if the money isn't there in a week's time, how we all feel won't make a blind bit of difference to Surpass, I'm very sorry to say, or much more to the point, the future of this site (-_-)

Okay, the Toon section has been sorted out at last - I think I've caught all the bugs in it. Heh, even so, it will be at least another couple of days before I'm ready to upload all the stuff I've sorted out for the Simpsons part of said archive. In the meantime though, I've updated W.i.t.c.h & Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, if only so I could use them to test out everything (^_^;)
Incidentally too, from this point on, the RAR files will now be for an entire series at once, rather than individual titles. Granted, I'm not sure yet how this will work with the larger series, such as Card Captor Sakura for example (maybe split archives of 250MB each or thereabouts), but either way, it will speed things up my end, plus allow donators to get at the stuff they want a lot faster offline, something I know I would definitely appreciate. Those who don't contribute will still be able to view individual pages, as well as download the smaller archives, so there will be something for everybody at the end of the day (^_^)

I know it's been several days since my last update, but this isn't a sign that I've lost interest, rather that I'm in the middle of a huge update to the Toons section of the site. Well, I started on Guilty Gear; got about a third of the way through it; and then was so bored, I thought I'd have a go at something different for a change of pace. One good thing about this, is the Exclusives section will also get an update out of this too, seeing as quite a bit of the material I'm sorting was done for me as a gift (^_^)
Of course, the way things are going with donations, there may not be a site around to take advantage of everyone's efforts. Indeed, even though Surpass were kind enough to reduce the server costs by $40 a month from now on, I've heard or received nothing from Cain since his last PM in the forum around a fortnight ago. This also means anything donated to Amazon is equally as useless to us this month, so I urge anyone who wants to help out not to use it for the time being and go with one of the other payment methods instead - AlertPay being by far the most useful at present because of its speed/low fees (*_*)

Many titles have been updated in the Non Parody section with more complete versions, although there are far too many to document here. Heh, in that regard, I wish I had a secretary... one like Jess would be nice: she could sit on my knee and, erm, take notes, that's it! Hmm, maybe not since I'd never get any work done, would I (^_^;)
Seriously though, a lot of other bit & pieces are included in this update as well; all translated lolicon this time, without exception. Super Robot Wars Alpha has also been moved over from the old database, apparently with 10 times as many titles as it had before, though I will stress that some of them were incorrectly listed under the earlier version of this game originally. In addition, Puyo Pop Fever (many thanks to RedHentai for supplying the titles for this one) & The Heroic Legend of Arslan have been added too (*_*)

A new month and a new threat of the site closing again - see above! Even so, I've added several more new series, plus transfered another over to the new database. The former includes Fatal Frame; Warriors of the Zodiac - Eto Ranger; Zoids Genesis & Capcom vs. SNK (yes, I know I haven't moved Street Fighter & The King of Fighters over from the old database yet, but this newer series is considerably smaller). The latter comprises Star Ocean - The Second Story. I do have some titles for the next game in the series too, which I'll add when I have the time and that letter comes around once more (^_^)
Various titles have also found their way into the adult manga part of the archive, though nothing really significant at this point, other than quite a few English translated works for a change. Expect a lot more to be added in the future, however, once Firecracker resurfaces (*_*)

I forgot to mention yesterday that I also added four other Parody series, which are as follows: Blood+, Princess Maker, Star Gladiator & The Familiar of Zero. They're only small for now, but more are on the way. Also, although it's probably too late to do anything about it now, we're still $10 short for this month's server costs - not a great deal, I admit, but the first time in months that the trend has reversed from us being in credit to being behind. Here's hoping it doesn't become a habit, not when we're so close to having enough to finally buy some new material (^_^)

Along with the aforementioned cute robot girl series, a few other bits & pieces have been added to the Non Parody section. Nothing special at this point unfortunately, just some reorgansing. In fact, Chobits has lost a couple of titles rather than gaining them as I'm better able to identify where they really came from originally. Heh, the same goes for the Lucky Star title Karshpen pointed out the other day as well, which has now also been removed from the Lolimono section and put back where it belongs (^_^;)
Oh, and judging by just how sharply bandwidth has dropped off over the last few days, 50MB was clearly too harsh for first-time visitors, so I've gone and increased it to 100MB. Just remember that even the smallest donation/contribution nets you 10 times as much as that, not to mention goes toward keeping this place running on a monthly basis, as it always has (*_*)

Chobits is done and uploading right now, although it won't actually be available until later tomorrow. Also, thanks to Karsphen pointing it out, I'm aware of the problem Firefox periodically experiences on the archive image pages (it doesn't appear to affect Internet Explorer at all). Originally, I thought it was just my machine, but it seems to be more than that. As soon as all these titles have been checked, I'll see about doing something more permanent about it (^_^)

Titles for all 5 sections of the Non Parody section tonight, as well as a few transfers from the old database and a couple more I've discovered in recent days to boot. Indeed, Super GALS! Ran Kotobuki; The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya; Devil Children; Space Pirate Captain Harlock (this series has actually lost 2 titles to Space Battleship Yamato - well, the women in these series look so similar, I think I can be forgiven here for not noticing originally) & The Crayon Kingdom of Dreams are now all part of the Main archive. Okay, new material is in short supply, but rest assured, more is on the way (*_*)

Unfortunately for those intent on leeching my server and giving nothing in return, I learn very quickly where computers are concerned. From this point on, any file downloaded within the archive will be added to your total, which I've reset to 50MB per day. What this means is that if you stupidly try to batch download everything, you'll quickly find yourself locked out from viewing or downloading anything at all! Donators needn't worry, however, as I've no plans to alter any of your massive quotas at present (^_^)

Not a particularly large update today perhaps, but I think an important one nonetheless. For one thing, at least a dozen titles in the Non Parody section have been replaced with more complete or better quality versions. I actually forgot to mention yesterday that several of the titles in the old Ragnarok Online section have also migrated to other series, as well as one moving over from Kasumin (I always wondered who the cute girl on the front of Gokuraku Tokkyuu was; it turns out she's simply one of the many character classes from the game itself (^_^)
Getting back to the latest additions, a small selection of adult manga have been added, plus 3 parody series: Space Guardian Angel Links, Ten Carat Torte! & A Little Snow Fairy Sugar. The first one many of you will recognise from the old database, and although the latter ones aren't exactly new in themselves, at least they do have proper names now. Indeed, the last one I've had kicking around since the time I first came in contact with Doremi, a show I mistook it for originally (^_^;)
Finally, I've no doubt the casual visitors have noticed that, even with the 10MB limit on RAR downloads, you can still download any single title regardless of its size. This is actually intentional, just to demonstrate what you'll have a lot more of if you donate even a small amount to help the site out each month (^_^)

Okay, Ragnarok Online is finished, with a whopping 101 new titles to its name. As I said last time as well, RAR downloads for casual visitors have now been reduced to a mere 10MB per day, rather than 50MB in order to save on bandwidth. This has no effect on simple browsing of images, nor are donators included in this reduction. In fact, if donations pick up a but after this, I might even go for the 100MBit uplink, which will allow faster downloads for all concerned, assuming you have the speed (*_*)

In a day, maybe two, I should have Ragnarok Online completely finished and uploaded now. However, non-contributors should know that I plan to seriously reduce RAR downloading before then to prevent excess leeching. Well, it's been almost a month since I reopened the archive to all-comers, and yet in that time, I've scarcely received so much as a thank you, let alone any new donations (-_-)
As I said last month, bandwidth will always be allocated to the regulars first, with simple browsing left for everyone else. The idea is not to take advantage of something they are paying for, not for the sake of saving a few measley dollars, probably for beer anyway. Considering the number of visitors a day has jumped by almost 3 times and bandwidth by 10 times, something has to be done to keep things at a reasonable level for all concerned. I guess you're just going to have to decide which vice you need more - loli or beer (^_^)

I've made a start on Ragnarok Online and indeed, have already sorted the files. However, given that there are over 100 new titles, making it around 150 in all now, it will be the end of the week before it's all entered into the database, uploaded, and thus available online (*_*)
While you wait, for those of you who have any interest or even watch the show anymore, I came across a very insightful write-up about what has gone wrong with The Simpsons as a whole. This was followed up yesterday by an equally insightful reply by Scanner, one of my best contributors, the kind of style I wish I could come up with for my rather curt reviews of Seasons 17 & 18 (^_^;)

A selection taken from contributions people sent in and not already included as part of Firecracker's uploads are online now, including a mixture of mostly Straight & Lolicon material, with some Shotacon. To break it up from the last lot of stuff for the Non Parody section, I've also added Magical Star Magical Emi, yet another ancient series identified while going through the old database the other day (^_^;)

Okay, barring a few titles left to sort, all of the old Karami & Lolimono sections are now part of the new database. This leaves around 30 more series to do from the old one since I also moved over Strange World of the South Seas - Neo Ranga & Go! Ina Junior High Ping Pong Club. For sure, there are definitely more than 7,000 fully searchable titles in there now (*_*)
In addition, another 4 series I recently identified have been put under the Parody section: Vampiyan Kids, Anything But That, Wacky Science Fiction Series Wandaba Style & Yamagiwa Soft. The last is of particular interest as it isn't so much a series as yet another mascot character series, much like the more popular Eco-ice. Even so, the little Asha-like character who appears in this one is as cute as a button (^_^)

Everything is now online, including a rather nice banner one of my biggest contributors made up to advertise some of what's in the Exlusives section. Palglo's colouring skill notwithstanding (he even got the twins the right colour), it's a shame that the original artist, OneWayOut, has quit drawing for now on account of the workload imposed on him by his apprenticeship. Regardless, what he produced in the short time he was here goes so far beyond the mediocrity that is usually associated with Simpsons erotica and if this wasn't my site, I would have signed up long ago on the merits of that banner alone (^_^;)
Getting back to the adult manga though, it's mostly of the straight variety this time (contrary to popular belief, loli isn't enjoyed by everyone in Japan and thus hasn't replaced everything else, not by a long shot), with Ippei Ikoma receiving by far the biggest update. In fact, it's probably the most titles I've seen by a single artist since I originally uploaded Hindenburg's stuff last year (*_*)
It's my intention to do Ragnarok Online next, although I do have a bit more parody & non-parody stuff to add before then - yeah, a few of the smaller series mainly. Keep watching this space as they say (^_^)

Heh, maybe not a couple of days after all, but my next update is uploading right now all the same. Seeing as it's 50+ anthologies, something like 10,000 pages of material, it will be a few more hours yet, despite the fact it's been going pretty much all day already (*_*)
While it's doing that, I'll just add that I've noticed a sharp increase in bandwidth usage, but not a corresponding increase in donations. Rest assured, if this isn't turned around by the end of the month, RAR support will be disabled for all but donators/contributors as they have download priority on here (^_^)

Right, To Heart is finished at long last! The delay was mostly down to a couple of titles I bought directly from TK of Takotuboya fame ages back, but never did get round to editing properly (they look great now either way). Even so, given how long this huge section took to do, it will take a major incentive to do both Eva & Naruto any time soon, two series I personally can't stand (^_^;)
The next batch of adult manga courtesy of Firecracker is being sorted anyway, and should be online within a couple of days. Aside from that, I noticed the server went down for about 5 hours Thursday morning. I have absolutely no idea what it was all about either way though, particularly since it righted itself with no intervention whatsoever from me (^_^)
